In the garden

Gardens are full of plants and herbs that promote growth in our homes. They allow us to escape the hustle and bustle of daily life and connect with nature on both a physical and spiritual level.

As someone stuck in an urban setting, I dream of a day when I can cultivate my own garden full of brightly colored fruits and vegetables, a variety of herbs (both culinary and medicinal), and flowers to bring natural beauty into the house. Until then, I take in all I can at local farmer's markets, enjoying the colors and flavors that come with each season.

Stay tuned for fruit, vegetable, and herbal profiles as I highlight individual plants, detailing their season, flavor, use, and any nutritional or healing powers contained within.
